individual artists through grants and fellowships,
strengthening the cultural environment of the Boise Valley and
benefiting the community at large.
See our Home Page for the announcement of the 2017 grant recipients! Next cycle of grants will be announced in January 2018.
Over the past two years, the Alexa Rose Foundation has granted over $130,000 to 65 local visual artists working in various mediums. Grants were used to fund a variety of opportunities to assist each artist in their creative development, including education, training, production, equipment and supplies. In November we celebrated with an exhibit of 45 of these artists. Over 400 people saw this exhibit. Here is what we heard:
“I was impressed with the diversity of the artists, the quality of the work, and the significant impact the grant funds made on the artists and their work.” “What a wonderful collection of inspiring work by local artists.” “Thank you for your courage and inspiration!” “You’ve inspired me to keep working!”
And here is an exciting announcement for the 2017 grant cycle – it will be open to all artistic mediums, including visual, performing and literary arts. Online applications will be available on this website January 10th. For information on the application process, please visit the “Apply” tab above. So start thinking now about how you might further your own creativity! We would love to hear from you!
